If you persevere and refuse to give up, you can accomplish your goals in the end”
After much searching, we finally decided that the author of this clue is Dr. Seuss, as we think that this is
the theme from one of his most famous books “Green Eggs and Ham”. He has written many books but
we decided to use his book “Mr. Brown can MOO! Can You?” as the book that portrays this meaningful
message.
Our poem, written in Dr. Seuss’s style, represents some of the things that our team members have done
during our Scavenger Hunt. For Clue # 1, we were to find some extraordinary WI plaque for example.
We found a plaque given to us for donating money to the Coldstream Fire Station for their first
defibrillator. Therefore, Glenna can go zap, zap. For Clue # 2, we were to be creative using legos.
Therefore, Frieda can now go click, click. For Clue # 3, we were to find a special rock and paint it. Rie
learned to paint a rock slap, slap. Finally, for Clue # 5, we were to carve a pumpkin and dress up for
Hallowe’en. Christa dressed up as a bee and can go buzz, buzz. All these things that we were asked to
do, we had never done before or hadn’t done for a very long time. It was a challenge for some of us but
we persevered and refused to give up until we had accomplished our goals in the end. This Clue # 6 was
no different and proved to be the hardest challenge yet. However, we didn’t give up and so here is our
poem.Our Scavenger Hunt Shenanigans” based on Dr. Seuss’s Book “Mr. Brown can MOO! Can You?”
