- Team MIST always finds it onerous to agree upon a date and time to meet and this time was nearly impossible! Try as we might, there was NO time that all our team could get gather for our pumpkin carving endeavor; someone was always away. So, instead of 4 members, we forged ahead with three of us. We decided our 4th member’s costume would have to be a Superhero with the power to be invisible! So, this time the I in MIST stands for invisible.
With our date and time finally set, one member headed out to find the perfect pumpkin, grown locally (in order to support our local farmer). Mission accomplished and now we just needed to wait for the weekend for our creative juices to flow. This is when we hit another bump in the road. The M in team MIST wasn’t feeling well (our intrepid captain), so at the last minute she was unable attend the creative carving session. Is there a costume for Miserable because that’s how M was feeling? Being determined souls, we weren’t giving up that easily despite being down to two members. The upside of just having two members was the ease and flexibility of getting together. Next stumbling block, the S in team MIST had to delay the craving start time. Maybe we should delay for a day? No, we couldn’t do that, we had a ROSE program going on that the T in MIST was hosting. So, a tired S met up with determined T to delve into our scavenger task.
We thought long and hard about what to carve. In the end, we opted for a traditional face but decided our MIST pumpkin should really wear a mask – after all there is still a great amount of Covid-19 around. You just never know what curse or spell T, the Terrifying Witch, would cast or what putrid odor S the Scary Dragon might breathe on you – yikes – scary stuff! Better to be safe and stick with our original plan! We hope you like the results of our 5th scavenger clue – our carving extravaganza! - Notes
