Browns Happy Hunters took a road trip on September 24th and visited 4 of the points of interest on the Rural Routes Road Trip which is a month long joint fundraising project of Perth South and Oxford WI Districts in support of London Health Sciences Centre Children’s Hospital of Western Ontario. We had a wonderful day out and about visiting places 4 previously unknown local businesses of interest. We rode around in style in a 1976 Chrysler New Yorker, owned by myself, Nancy West. It is so comfy inside that it’s like driving your couch! Lol
Our fourth friend in Browns Happy Hunters, Katherine, was unexpectedly unable to be with us today in spite of our best efforts make it all work.
The Scavenger Hunt bookmark assignment was completed, as we took a nice cup of tea from the Wild Hog Market to the owner at our next stop, Judy Pendry of the Terra Nova Nordic Spa & Café. (It was a bit like taking coals to Newcastle – taking tea to a café owner, but it was gladly accepted along with the WI bookmark and introduction.  )
We had a lovely day out together and learned lots of interesting things about our own back yard!!
