Each member of the group gathered their rocks from around their properties: Cheryl B from the garage, Heather from her flower garden, and Cheryl S and Brianna from under their deck. We met at Heather’s house to paint. The theme for our rock painting was gratitude. Cheryl B painted her rock for her future daughter-in-law. She was hosting a bridal shower the next day and included the bride and groom’s names and ‘Welcome’ on her rock. Heather painted her rock for her granddaughters, who she enjoys spending time with and included the words ‘Live, Laugh, Love’ and lovely flowers on her rock. Her granddaughters will feel so special to receive this keepsake! Brianna painted her rock with a gerbera daisy on a lovely background. Gerbera daisies are bright and colourful flowers. She plans to give this rock to her sister who is always willing to share advice and bring a smile to everyone’s face. Cheryl S painted her rock with a couple of flowers and a hummingbird. Cheryl is starting a new job at the end of August and had her ‘partner in crime’ at the office in mind when she was painting her rock. Cheryl will miss her office partner and wanted to leave something special for her when she left. Overall, it was a fun, enjoyable activity and nice to get together with our group to share stories about the people we are grateful to have in our lives.
