Women in Action

The Women's Institute (WI) travels to conferences in Ontario, across the country, and around the world. Many different women make up the branches within the WI.

We share our life skills, support women and family, and along the way have fun learning new ideas. Our motto is " For Home and Country."

Our group enlisted the expertise of Lego consultants, Joseph age 6, and Madeline age 8, to create our scenario.

Shown against the backdrop of the Women's Institute tartan, a young woman disembarks from a plane, on her way to a conference in another province in Canada. She makes a call on her cell phone to let her hosts know she has arrived safely. She is impressed at how lovely the arrival platform is with the display of spring flowers. Waiting for her is a member to take her via jeep to the hotel where they will be staying and where the conference will be held. She stops to buy a coffee from the girl at the counter and notices the water cooler nearby, which shows how the WI supports the ACWW “water for all” campaign.

Unfortunately, due to Covid, we are unable to provide a picture of our group, but we submit a photo of our lovely scenario.
