| sp@ A During the noon hour the Tara Women's Institute served Salad Plates with pie and beverage to 100 guests in the Community Centre. During the supper hour the West Arran Women's Insti-- tute served a buffet of Cold Plates with meat, rolls, salad, dessert and beverage, with both eye and taste appeal for 125 customers. Both groups served meals on trays to the occupants of booths in the Arena. The Burgoyne Women 's Insti-- tute served sandwiches, tarts, cookies, tea and coffee from small tables with colourful flower arrangements, making a very welcome spot to sit down, enjoy refreshments and visit with friends. The Bruce Centre District Wo-- men's Institute Hobby and Cra-- ft Fair held in the Port Elgin Arena on Wednesday, July 18th, drew a crowd of over 1100 peo-- ple. There were displays of crafts and hobbies of interest to every-- one. President, Mrs. Mcrris Gowanlock report-- ed that there were . over 50 exhibiters and that 1,000 people attended to see the various -- crafts such as woodwork, stonework, jew-- ellery making and many others. There will be a fish pond and cold drink stands.
