I worked at factory accounts in the forenoon, went to Robert Morton‘s in the evening. Paid Wm. Armstrong for broom and wadding, 75 cents. Mr. Smith were also with me. Paid expenses, 20 cents. Postage stamps, $1.00. _ Friday, January 27 Robert drew two loads of sand to the church. Harry worked around the barn. I took milk to the factory and gave out milk cheques. Sold four fat cattle to Alex McDonald at 4%& cents to be delivered at Bright on tomorâ€" row. Received $20. In the evening attended a meeting of the Board of Directors at the factory. Saturday, The men attended stock and took four cattle (sold yesterday) to Bright inâ€"the forenoon. 1 went to Woodstock with Robert Russell. Received balance due on cattle, $221. (Weight 5,360 lbs. at 4%@ cents, less $20.20.) Paid for weighing cattle, 20 cents. Also received for milk balance November and advance December, $10.83. Paid for beef, 75 cents; rice and oranges, 55 cents; rivets, 10 cents; stockings (2 at 25 cents) 50 cents, tie, 25 cents; lunch, 10 cents, and haircutting, 15 cents.
