The second General Store was located kitty .-- corner on the north west side of the main intersection. It was owned and operated by Dan & Ida Wilson & Son. The store also maintained fuel pumps service by Supertest. The store handled the post office and Ida was the Post Mistress. Dan included hair cuts as part of the store business. During this time,cash, personal credit and bartering was the mercantile way of local commercial trade. Besides bulk food stuffs, canned goods, preserves, dairy products and fresh vegetables, Dan had a large side room for dry goods and hardware. Next; you will view a postcard of the General Store taken in 1918. At that time the store was owned by Mr. John Sinkins who purchased it from Mr. Rawlings. It was later sold to Mr. Kennedy, then purchased by Mr. Lorn Mills followed by The Mowats and the last proprieters being Angie Reid & Jason Dietz, Aug. 1994.
