. THE BOUNDARIES OF _ GREENWOOD The boundaries of Greenwood are vague.Greenwood United Church has always been considered the centre of the community, and in fact was part of the original village of Greenwood along with Alba Post Office and several other buildings. This boundary has extended con considerably and most people living all the way at the Drive In Road consider themselves as Greenwood residents. Roughly we would say that Greenwood extends as far as Greenwood Church draws parishioners. For the sake of this Tweedsmuir History we have settled on the following boundaries : All of the east end of Pembroke Township from the "Québec Turnoff" or Highway 62 to Québec. This includes Lots 1â€"8 Concession 1,Lots 1Aâ€"12 Concession 2 and all of Concession 3.Refer to the map shown on the next page. In Westmeath Township Lots 21â€"27 Concession 1, excluding lands on the Ottawa River side of Township . Road 29. The bordering areas should be included in the Tweedsmuir History Books of Laurentian View, Preasant View and Snake River Branches.Much of the history of Greenwood has already been recorded by Pleasant View Women‘sâ€"Institute by virtue of the large number of members residing in our area.We gratefully acknowledge contributions that they have and will make to our effort.
