Weedmark, the former Annie Sadler, was born in 1870 at Fitzroy Harbour, Ontario. She was the daughter of George Sadler and his wife, Ann Hamilton, both of Irish ancestry. After her training as a school teacher, she taught in schools in the Arnprior district. . Later she went to teach at Chalk River where she was married in 1896. Shortly after she and her husband moved to Beachburg where she lived until her death in 1950 at the age of eighty. Their family consisted of three daughters and three sons; Mrs. Harry Ashley (Norris), Kathleen, who died in infancy, Mrs. Alton Salter (Cora), George, Ira and Eric.
