She attended school in Beachburg and later the Model School in Renfrew from where she graduated as a public school teacher. She taught in Crozier‘s school (S.S. # 12 Westmeath) as well as in other schools of the vicinity. Later she worked for the Government in Ottawa, where she met and married Mr. R.F. Hicks. They lived in Toronto until her death. She had three brothers; Albert of Ottawa, John I. (Deceased) Montreal, Que., James of Vancouver, B.C., and a sister Mattie (Deceased). c t | â€" |
