Canadian National Railways Mrs. J. English ~2â€"I RMeMJAma .__._'â€"â€"4-_â€"â€" So me of the original agents have died, but the following people worked on trains or at these stations. They are: Peter Luffman, Thom Street, Deseronto, a trainman; Jack O'Connor, Albert Street, Deseronto, who worked as an Operator and Agent at various locations; Kenneth Smith, North Front St., Belleville, who worked as an Operator at Thurlow for some years. These men may be able to fill you in on information you seek. For many years there were two passenger trains in each direction between Belleville and Napanee. One set of trains operated daily from Montreal, Napanee, Belleville South, Brighton and Toronto. Another set of trains operated Ottawa, Napanee, Belleville South, Brighton and Toronto. These trains were cancelled in the Spring of 1031 and replaced during the balance of the summer by mixed passenger and freight trains. All A//passenger service ceased in 1932. I regret that we do not have photographs of the stations existing at that time. I understand you may secure some of these from our Public Relations Department in Montreal. In any event, the men mentioned above may also help you with some significant historical occurrence. Yours very truly H. . Fast Manager, Rideau area MAfiZLCquQiZL €5{f\ 77;: Warmer V" V PM: 3134/?
