Although the day was clouded by a sadness, in that Kenneth Denyes â€" brother of our guest minister was at death‘s door, the stirring message he brought carried many of the listners to earlier days. The large congregation felt very close to God that morning as they sat on the improvised benches and heard the sermon so clearly out in the fresh air under the clear blue sky and warm June sunshine, The dinner was served quickly as the crowd moved along the tables and the ladies served them. They were free to sit with friends as they ate and supped together. The time to wend their way toward home came all too soon, but they took with them a happy memory of the visit back home. After the expenses were paid there was sufficient to purchase a beautiful Bible for the pulpit. Mr. Mrs, Ralph Sills were given the reSponsibility of choosing it and the dedication took place exactly one year later with Dr, Swan officiating, The next Sunday the congregation showed their appreciation by presenting Mrs, Ralph Sills With a beautiful book. This was unexpected as she had felt the happy faces on the guests and all had been sufficient repay for all the efforts. Following are pictures of the affair. deg/)1 2/ ”5,! .Dr 5Wan
