Carol and Cathy Cook of Purple Valley enloyed the hectic two days and came home very tired but willing to go again. Highlights of the trip were a visit to Black Creek i Pioneer Village, a boat ride to the llland- in Toronto Harbour, window shopping in downtown Toronto. staying In the Holiday ,thfijvdhd‘breakfast at MacDom Zak/4%;Y aids. The band members per- formed two concerts at the Orangeville Public School on the way home on Friday. -Achievemeni Day lor the 4-H proleot "Accessories - The Final Touch" was held on Wednesday evening May to. 1979 at Wiarton District High School. The eight members of the Purple Valley Club and their leader, Mrs Terry Johnston an‘ assistant, Mrs. Audrey Hepburn had prepared an exhibit on "Hats - The Face Framers" with Lois Keays as commentator. There were many mteresllng exhibits and skits presented by the partialpating clubs. Lois Keays. Purple Valley and Grace McIntosh. Elsinore were pre- sented With advanced honours by the Home Economist. Miss Barb DeVisscher This award is for 13 protects successfully completed by a 4-H member. Grace and Lois have also had 4-H protects. The programme for the evening was in charge of the Proprieiress of Four Season Styles - Lots Keays. Lola gave a very interesting rundown on accessmies with examples of what to wear and how to wear it and With what and those accessories that are fashionable to-day. Hope all the guests found their evening well spent. 4-H is a worthwhile learning experience [or young people and we should encourage them.
