President Marilyn Durie was unable to attend because of illness, VicerPresidcnt Doneta Phillips con- ducted the meetingin her absence. The meeting entitled “Resolutions” with Vada Calhoun as the Convener. Vada had as her Guest for the meeting. Cathy Erwin who did a demonstration on her computer sewing machine. she also displayed clothing that she had made. The members decided that she is a very talented lady. Vadll Calhoun read four resolutions done by other Women’s Institutes. Business proved to be quite length- ly, with our last meeting being in June there were quite a few reports from spedal committees. They were: bus trip to Milton Centennial Prelude Quilt show; Homecoming Float; Meeting at Brittany Villa; Catering Lunch at Bruce County Museum; Bus trip to Lion Safari, to help cele- brate Chesley Women‘s Institute 85th birthday; Auction Tea September 12th. it was a busy couple of months. A very nice lunch was served by hostesses Reta Hagedom and Kay MeCurdy. The Auction Tea was held on September lZLh. the door prize went to Edna Hellieritigton and the Goody Basket went to Bsie Miskie. ety and a letter from CDllS informing us that the recipient of our Gillies Hill scholarship is Kyla Ecker.
