BRUCE SOUTH DISTRICT H ISTORY 1960â€"70 continued. 1969 Ripley was the place of District Annual at the United Church, with Lisburn W'I. hostess. Mrs Cecil Hollands and Mrs D.J- MacKinnon in charge as president and secretary. Mrs T.J' Cornish the‘daternate board member of Sub- division 16 reported, Mrs Teasdale had been ill and unable to attend the Boaxd meeting. F.W.I.C. Convention will be in Winnipeg in 1970. Greyâ€"Bruca Area convention will be in Mount Forest in November. Mrs Hollands spoke on the theme"Nothing is as contagious as Enthusiasm". Mrs Elton Armstrong, Dept. speaker gave avery interesting and informative address on our institution and program planning. She ended by saying "Learning for lving will never be Finished" Mrs Teasdale presented life membership cards to the life members. Worlshhp to be held early in June for Secretary-treasurers and Public Rlations Officer, with h dies in charge from our own district. Mrs MacKinnon was oresented with a F.W‘I.C. badge at the workshop as she has retired as secretary. Morlshop was held in Bervie W.I' Hall. 1970 Chalmers United church was scene of District Annual and Armow W‘I were hostess. Mrs Cecil Hollands president and Mrs Angus McLeod the new Sec-Trees. Mrs D.J‘ MacKinnon had attended the Officers Conference at Guelph as Federated repiesenta tive. The new Junior Women‘s Institute was being organized in Teeswater area. Grey-Bruze Area convention to be in Southampton. Many other V.I.Pv visited from the other Bruce districts and the Area. ~A work shop to be held for branch and district convners, to be held at Purple Grove Community Centre. Mrs Hollands will be delegate to the National Convention at Winnipeg. Mrs Harvey Houston presented Mrs Hollands with a gift as she retired as president. contributed by diet. sec.â€"treas.
