Our leader was really the best - [full of] enthusiasm. vitality and a “let's get :it it spirit." Her name is Mary MacFarland and [she] belongs to one of the new Branches in our Subdivision. We expect our 1995-96 programming will certainly be better after this presentation. I felt the Executive would like to know that their hard work is being canied on and with such zest. They must have all been enthusiastic and it sure came through to us. Sincerely. Dorothy Harna’en PRO. Cold Springs WI. Northumberiand West Editor’s Notebook: Ideas Wanted As you know, the newsletter has printed a general interest article and a prolile ol 3 WI member lrom one of the four regions in each of the four different issues - the Northern region in the Spring issue. the Western region in the Sum- mer issue, the Southern region in the Fall issue. and the Eastern region in the Winter issue. At the Home a Country content planning meet- ing held in April, the Editorial Committee decided that these two articles could be combined. In other words. the general interest articles would only feature Women‘s Institute members. Cleg- horns' Clydesdales in this issue is a good example. In the Fall issue a member from the Southern region whose business is hydroponic lettuce will be featured. The Winter issue will report on a memberlrom Eastern Ontario who grows Christ- mas trees lor a living, If you know of any Women's Institute members whose business or livelihood would make an interesting regional feature article. please let us know.
