Cross Country Calendar Clute WI, Conhroneâ€"Temiskoming The Clute Women‘s Institute coâ€"hosted a “Bone China Tea" with the Anglican Church in Cochrane in March. Over sixty people came to enjoy calcium-enriched sweets and savouries, share a pot often and listen to the advice ofthe local dietician. A silver collection was donated to the Osteoporosis Association. Perth Centre District W] This District sponsored a Branch Ofï¬cers†Workshop entitled “Put Your Best Foot Forward," Workshop factlitator, Dianne Josling. challenged participants to “get in» volved ~ get a handle on your position." Josling's presentation included many mo- tivational phrases. such as: believe in yourself; don't give up; hang onto your dreams; just do it; keep on trying; make it happen; and. take control of your destiny. Ferguson's Falls WI, Lonork South This Branch honoured member Helen McEwen with a 50â€"year pin for 50 con- secutive years of membership in the Ferguson‘s Falls WI. Howkestone WI, Simcoe Kempenteldt Fifty year members of this Branch were recognized recently for their years ot‘serv- ice to the W1. In the past year, the Hawkestone WI has donated to a number of local causes, including the Salvation Army, Royal Victoria Hospital, Orillia Soldier's Memorial Hospital, Green Haâ€" ven Shelter and the Barrie Crisis Center and Soup Kitchen, W‘ew‘ M Home 8. The Hall was acquired for $200 in 1932. Unfortunately. the cost of maintain- ing the Hall grew and its usefulness decreased; it was demolished last fall.
