Isn't it wonderful how far news has spread making it a truly international attempt at this world record. My husband and I were in Canada again, where we returned for another meeting with the ladies of Stoney Creek and other WIs in that area. We had a marvelous afternoon with them, and their knitted lengths have alsojust arrived. ACWW Projects Committee Report By Charlotte Johnston he Projects Committee of the Associâ€" ated Country Women of the World meets twice a year in London, England. to study and evaluate the many project sub- missions. It has been my duty to help sort and consider those most worthy of receiving funds to effectively carry out community projects, It is easy to sort them into categories which receive funds from Women Feed the World orWater forAll. However, there are projects that fall into other categories. These receive funds from money desig- nated just for Projects. In March, when I was in London, the Projects Committee found they were rc- At the moment, we have 10 miles stitched together and stored in Durham, 5 we are half-way to the existing record. Cost of postage is quite a problem to the project, but we hope to work around this by asking various people to bring them back when visiting other areas. Once again, many thanks! I am appealing to my fellow Women's Institute members in Ontario, When you. are filling out your donations form, please consider designating money to the ACWW Projects Fund, and not just to Women Feed the World and Water for All. I encourage you to read about the many successfully completed projects. in parts of Africa, India, China and Colombia, in ACWW’S The Countrywaman and in the Projects Committee Report.
