Porl Dover, NOA I‘ THE HOME ECONOMICS BRANCH LOAN LIBRARY Important Note All of the very valuable FWIO history. programs and procedures files are being kept and transferred to the FWIO oflice when the ministry moves from its present location. The FWIO oflice secretary. Mrs. Helen Armstrong. will then handle this type of request from members. By now. most of your board directors will have held their subdivision meetings and mentioned the changes in the loan library. H0wever. a reminder may be timely. Closing of the Home Economics Section of the Library For a number of reasons, the major ones being: the difficulty of keeping the material continously updated; the loss of the services or a fu||»time librarian. and er- ratic postal services. The home economics section of the loan library will no longer be available to mem- bers of FWIO. The Home Economics Branch staff will be retaining some of the research material in their in- dividual offices for reference purposes, so rest assured that nothing valuable will be destroyed. Since there has been a marked drop in the use of the loan library during the past two years. it is felt that it has outlived much of its usefulness.
