Ot’l'icers' Conl'erence. Formal sessions opened Wednesday morn- ing with Mrs. Noblitt presiding. Referring to the theme. “Members see â€" Officers foresee" the president said. “You are here because you are officers. or preparing yourselvcs to be ol't’i- ours. and as such you are leaders. \Villiam Penn once said that a good leader possesses these qualities â€" ability. clean hands. disâ€" patch. patience and impartiality. I would add enthusiasm and ambition sparked by a sense 0f humour." Speaking of‘the qualities of a loader. Mrs. Noblitt reminded the delegates that the effecâ€" tive leader will find that good manners smooth the way to understanding and that gentleness. Impartiality. which l’enn recom- mended. is the ability to be lair to all members ol' her organization. to keep an open mind to their ideas no matter how they may dill'er trnm hers.
