Ontario Department of Agriculture and Food congratulated the ladies on the success of their special project to inâ€" crease membership. Miss McKercher emphasized that speakers would not be sent out to District Annuals un~ less specifically requested. She encouraged board directors to suggest having local speak- ers and then promote “Women‘s Institute Pro- cedure” Short Courses. She presented each board director with a folder containing names and addresses of secretaries of branches under their supervision, asked that a check be made and any errors reported to her in an effort to get an accurate mailing list. it was stressed to the directors that mailing lists are confidential and names are not to be given out without approval of the president of F.W.I,O. Miss McKercher reported a tremendous in- crease in extension programs and said that again this fall nearly 1,500 more women and girls participated in courses, A new Advance Award Certificate for 4-H Homemaking Club members completing 18 units was displayed and Miss McKercher made the suggestion that F.W.I.O. should have similar scholarship WINTER 1969 forms filled in so that when the secretary sends the cheque the certificate could go along.
