Some of this interest has stemmed front the fact that Mucdtmald Institute was founded in 1903 through the efforts of Adelaide Hoodless for the teaching of Household Science. Interest has been generated. too. because many Women‘s Institute members themselves and, or. their daughters and granddaughters have been stu- dents at Mac. Institute. I Now the University of Guelph is expanding its sternum and Macdonald Institute finds itself inadequate to accept the large number of stu- dents who would like to attend. It, too, must expand to bring up to date its facilities and to serve the needs of the girls who are interested in becoming students in the Home Economics courses. Following the aim of promoting educaâ€" ttort tor girls in Home Economics, the Women‘s Institutes of Ontario could undertake no better project than to put the efforts of our organiza- 22 tion into assisting in the growth of Maori ItJ Institute.
