The Board also accepted the requested transfer of St. Andrews Women’s Institute from East Elgin District to Middlesex East District subject to District Director’s rati- fication. The following is to be included in the amend- ment to the Hand Book, page 11, sec. (9) sub- sec. (10a) to read as follows: that if a District Director or Alternate is not present to be rati- fied at the District Annual Meeting the branch will lose its vote at District Board of Directors meetings for the ensuing year. That in those years when a new president is to be elected. the Board Directors attending their first Board Meeting shall not vote for the election of president.
