Block Printers Set Up Studio By Mrs, Paul Robins UR WOMEN‘S INSTITUTE BRANCH O Shanty Bay, took the Block Printing short course in November of 1964 and ten members participated in the required num- ber of lessons. For various reasons, as in any project. after "Achievement Day" most of our ladies went on to other interests. However, three of us were so keenly interested that we continUed meeting once a week at each other‘s homes to pursue this fascinating hobby. After showing some of our work to friends we found ourselves with orders. At this point we thought our little group should have a name. We chose “‘Rima." which is a combina- tion of our namesâ€"Ruth. Irene, Margaret, Associated. Our work was shown over the local tele- vision station by Mr. Garnet Pratt, owner of Garnet‘s Hobbies. in Barrie. Our work is on display and on sale at this same shop. In the summer we have an outlet at Wasaga Beach â€" The Huronia Gift and Craft Shop. We also have an outch at a Barrie Antique and Dec- orative Fitting Shop.
